Marc Francis — if you know, you know — used the word aesthete as a sort of backhanded compliment. Someone who cares about beautiful things, perhaps a little too much. It also takes most people a couple of tries to say it, which is fun.
The Greek origin means someone who perceives through the mind and senses — very wise.
